"ITunes freezing"

iTunes 9 was good until the 9.0.2 update... Now I can't sync or do anything because it freezes up when doing the genius... I am almost at my wits end with this thing. The other computer in the house has no problem but mine does. Maybe it's vista... I have reinstalled iTunes 3 times now and still not working right. We need an option when we install to turn off or temporarily disable genius...
